Wind and Rain
This poem found me a few minutes ago while I was listening to the rain..so I wrote it down before it skipped away!
Wind and Rain
Wind mingles with rain.
Two cousins, tapping on windows and doors,
Coaxing, enticing,
Inviting within,
Tapping intricate lace rhythms.
Rain drop bells, wind whistles,
Leaping from the face of the earth,
Bouncing from the skies
Singing their spontaneous song,
A duet of symphonic proportions
Simplicity, complexity, in equal measure.
Wind blown rain drops plucking at my heart
I taste their music. I melt.
Wrapped in blankets, pillow- puffed,
The fire within me ignites, ablaze,
A new symphony is born.
A symphony of colours.
Shimmering liquid I become- formless form,
Like raindrops in the heat of sun.
Autumn colours, grey, white, brown
Make music love with colours of my liquid heart
Grey, white, blue, red, green
Sing tones, birth new colours, sounds, not with the eyes, seen.
But felt, like waves, music, within my fluid being.
Like waves of the ocean, rush
Making love to the shore
Waves of raindrops
A trillion, trillion Infinite cells,
Glassy, dew dropped melting mirrors of the star lit skies
– They Laugh at the notion- can Never be bought nor sold..
As Free, as are We.
Rain and Wind drops-
Dance of the un- navigable journey.
