photoI am delighted to announce that my lovely Rachel won first prize in the Wesley Music Festival for classical singing for under 16’s on Friday the 7th March 2014. Her performance was the beautiful “O Men from the Fields”, by Hamilton Harty.
Rachel is a beautiful and quietly confident little lady with a love for expressing through singing and has over the years been soloist for many musical events.

She will be singing in Feis Cheoil in just a few weeks time and I wish her the very best of joyful expressing at this event and for her performance at the a Junior Cert performance.

Caoileann ni Cheallaigh, Debut Performance

Congratulations also to Caoileann ni Cheallaigh who made her debut performance in singing, also at the Wesley Music Festival. Caoileann sang one of my favourite pieces, “An die Musik”, by Schubert. It takes great courage to stand in front of an adjudicator and audience to express through singing for the first time, though Caoileann is no stranger to performing as a prize winning pianist. Her first performance as a singer marks the beginning of an exciting new adventure in beautiful expressions through singing.
